infosex.exchange <3

You are probably looking for the infosec.exchange Mastodon instance

This host is mostly for my random stuff, and in little part acts like a well-intentioned placeholder for the typosquatted domain.

Discoverability and Archiving

Currently I'm using this host for saving the items from my own feeds to the Wayback Machine and provide in-links for search engines. I hate that I have to do this, but the non-sense ideology of Mastodon pretty much ruined the search feature for Fediverse as a whole, and this wasn't changed by the fact that they owned their mistake and implemented search eventually.

Yes, I (or anyone else) could do similar things with other peoples published feeds, regardless of the tantrum. No, you can't defederate this, because the process doesn't rely on an instance.

Gluttony Section for Search Engines

@GossiTheDog Medium's half-screen sign-up form certainly doesn't help with audience conversion. Just a tip.

@devcoffee Now that you mention it, I recently booked a room in Berlin and now the booking site just can't stop recommending me rooms in Berlin. Like, I _may_ want buy two sofas the same week, but I definitely can't sleep at two places at once.

Me: puts on some grindcore

ML-node#1: Grindcore is music!

ML-node#2: Many users who like music also like Ed Sheeran!

UI: Do you want to listen to some Ed Sheeran?

We are *so* far from the machine uprising...

I thought I found the official name for band members who don't really contribute musically and are there just for the show - see for example the "invisible man" who's mostly responsible for drinks/drinking in this video:

So I saw an interview where I thought the phrase "dead microphone" was used to describe this role.

Of course when I google'd the name, I mostly got #Linux bug reports...

@terinjokes I found these posts quite useful when creating custom calling conventions:

https://github.com/NationalSecurityAgency/ghidra/issues/28
https://mageirias.com/articles/ghidra/ghidra_a_story_of_check_sec_cookie/ghidra_check_sec_cookie.html

I guess defining Win API functions is something that could be scripted, but I have no experience with 16bit DLL's. I'll try to help if you provide more details.
