You are probably looking for the infosec.exchange Mastodon instance

This host is mostly for my random stuff, and in little part acts like a well-intentioned placeholder for the typosquatted domain.

Discoverability and Archiving

Currently I'm using this host for saving the items from my own feeds to the Wayback Machine and provide in-links for search engines. I hate that I have to do this, but the non-sense ideology of Mastodon pretty much ruined the search feature for Fediverse as a whole, and this wasn't changed by the fact that they owned their mistake and implemented search eventually.

Yes, I (or anyone else) could do similar things with other peoples published feeds, regardless of the tantrum. No, you can't defederate this, because the process doesn't rely on an instance.

Gluttony Section for Search Engines

@schaffenburg Here it is: https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/tda2005.pdf

Since it's a kit, I think the design should be OK, but anything could go wrong during assembly :)

@mkj Thanks for your effort anyway!

@mkj Unfortunately I don't have such option under General (and I can't search the preferences).

I suspected there should be some icon, thanks for the confirmation! How on Earth did it go missing though?

@joxean Maybe that is the case, but I still wonder why this particular option exists in the first place.

This is a file chooser dialog in #LibreOffice in 2024.

Can you tell how you are supposed to go the parent directory?

Follow up question: who and why thought this is a reasonable design?

@brendan It does not, one possibility I'm considering is that the heat sink is simply not big enough, but how should I know?

@Tecci oh that rings a bell, thanks!

@brendan The IC's passive heat sink feels too hot to touch
